Home Tip of the Day

Builder Warranty Inspection

Before your builders warranty expires wouldn't it be wise to have your home evaluated by an independent professional? AHI thinks so too.
Most builders are reputable and try hard to build the best home possible for their clients, but no builder can watch every contractor and subcontractor all the time. Mistakes and oversights happen, that's where an inspection comes in.

When you bought your new home the builder gave you a warranty that expires after a predetermined period. After that period expires most if not all repairs will be your responsibility to fix. Don't let the builder leave you holding the bag on costly repairs that should be the builders responsibility. Have an AHI
inspector come to your home and conduct a 2 to 4 hour inspection to evaluate the builders work and make an evaluation of the major components of your home. A builders warranty inspection evaluates all of the same components that a standard home inspection does, but there is more of a focus on ensuring that the builder adhered to today's standards. Older homes were built before many of today's modern safety codes were written. Make sure your builder did it right or make them make it right.

Don't find yourself bearing the burden for someone else's mistakes. Have your home inspected before the warranty expires, your inspector may find hidden and costly defects.

Standard inspection fees apply for the builder warranty inspection. Please go to the Pricing Page for information on our prices.
